Why Eva Mendes Isn’t “Comfortable” Posing on the Red Carpet With Ryan Gosling

Eva Mendes won't be rollerblading into Barbie Land.
Although fans said they wanted to the see the Training Day actress on a red carpet with partner of over 12 years Ryan Gosling, Eva recently explained why that won't happen anytime soon, even for his upcoming Barbie movie premieres.
As one fan wrote, "I really hope Barbie will get through the Awards Season just to see you w Ryan."
In response, Eva told the user in the comments of her April 6 post, "we don't do those things together." In fact, she said that the only photos she is "comfortable" sharing with the world are images that are "already out there."
She later explained that by "not comfortable," she means that she isn't interested in "exposing our very private life that we value."
Eva's confession comes after she shared clips from her and Ryan's 2012 movie The Place Beyond the Pines, their only onscreen collaboration. And for fans that might dig up photos from the past, Eva is already setting the record the straight.
"Oh wait - for those who may catch me in a 'lie,'" she continued on April 6, "we only were on the red carpet together once when promoting [The Place Beyond the Pines]."
Though fans may not see her on the red carpet for upcoming summer film Barbie—which Ryan stars in opposite Margot Robbie—Eva is hoping for an onscreen reunion with the La La Land actor, noting, "I'm still dying to do another movie with him though."
After all, so much has changed since the pair worked on The Place Beyond the Pines, including welcoming daughters Amada, 6, and Esmeralda, 8. While the couple has kept details about their relationship fiercely under wraps throughout the years, Eva sparked buzz last November when she called Ryan her husband.
The next day, Eva addressed the speculation while on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
"There's a rumor that you guys might have secretly tied the knot. Is that true?" co-host Brittany Hockley asked Eva at the time, to which she replied, "But who says we weren't already?"
